Rozay establishes himself as a Boss by placing himself in the same company as high-profile billionaire owners, Gavin Maloof and Micky Arison – the owners of his two favorite basketball teams.

Gavin Maloof is apart of the Maloof Family, the owners of the Sacramento Kings. Mickey Arison is the CEO of Carnival Corporation, and the owner of the defending NBA champion Miami Heat.

By placing himself in their company, Ross seems to insinuate he will one day join them as a billionaire himself.

DeMarcus Cousins is the starting center for the Sacramento Kings, and standing at 6 ft 11 inches and 270 lbs, he is quite a big man, much like Ross.

Ross has stated that the Sacremento Kings are his second favorite team, and Ross and Cousins are known fans of each other. In fact, Ross was seen reppin' Cousins' jersey in the video for his song “Ashamed”.

Charlie Ward was a standout college football & basketball player for the Florida State Seminoles. He was a Heisman Trophy winner and apart of the FSU college basketball teams that advanced to the Sweet 16. He would go on to play professional basketball for the New York Knicks.

The two teams that Ross is referring to is probably referring to is his record labels – Ross is signed to Def Jam as a solo artist, but is also the founding member of his own record label Maybach Music Group, which is distributed under Atlantic Records.

Rozay describes the concept of the song—16 bars is not enough to express himself.

In an interview, Ross expanded:

Basically it was just when you get some music that you really love or a track that you really love, sometimes sixteen bars is not enough to really express yourself. We just went to that next level. I think for people to hear Andre do what he did; I'ma let y'all count how many bars he did as well as of course what I did, man. He pulled out the guitar and banjo on this one and he sang a little bit on the end of it. It just broke all the rules of making a standard record.

The old saying goes:

Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer

The old saying means to know your friends intentions, but even more so, know what your enemies are doing too. If you are aware of what your enemies are doing, then you are able to prepare yourself for their possible attacks. If you’re ahead of the game, you will be able to succeed in life. Basically, know your surroundings.
