Here Thug references the film “Paid in Full”. In the movie Ace Boogie and Mitch are best friends who enter the drug game together.

In a similar manner Thugger and Ralo are close friends who engage in business ventures together. And just like Ace Boogie in the movie, they started out poor and moved their way up the economic ladder.

By lit up, Thug means that Ralo is getting rich. “Lit up” is also a term used to describe someone being shot at by someone who “hit a lick” a.k.a. did the shooting. Thug is using the second meaning as a comparison to Ralo’s new lifestyle.

Need For Speed is a popular video game about racing cars. The game is populated with some of the fastest and most expensive cars on the planet. As you’d expect they make a loud vroom-vroom when started up, just like Thugger’s vehicle.

This song is a direct response to Drake’s “Summer Sixteen.” In a move that shocked hip-hop, “War Pain” was released just 15 minutes after Drake’s song. Just as he raps in this song, at the time of release, Meek was at a Sixers basketball game with Nicki Minaj.

While Meek joked that another one of Drake’s “ghostwriters” slipped him the lyrics prior to release, it’s likely the song was leaked to him by someone in Drake’s camp.

Meek’s label mate Omelly joins him on the track, attacking Drake’s street credibility.

Thugger links up with fellow trappers, Fetty Wap and Lil Uzi, to brag about their wealth over a monster beat.

“Some Fetty (Remix)” is a boisterous street cut that finds the rappers boasting about their long money & lavish lifestyles, just as the title & artwork depicts

The original version of this song, which featured more Fetty Wap vocals and even a verse from Zoovier instead of Ralph & Uzi, was a cut from Young Thug & Fetty Wap’s scrapped joint mixtape, ThuggaWap.

Gates' ode to the success that he’s created for himself. “Ask for more” is prefaced by “how could I?” meaning he’s already so grateful for what he has, there’s nothing more he could possibly feel entitled to.
