Eminem’s meaning here that if any rapper is showing weakness by the littlest bit “If he' acting soft and he cowers”, Em’s going to literally make them shit their pants with his harsh flow.

So he’d better come clean (be straight-up, don’t cower, admit Eminem is the superior emcee). Hence the wordplay with “Come Clean” – achieving orgasm in the shower is “coming” clean, while Jeru the Damaja released the 1994 hip-hop classic “Come Clean.”

Also worth noting the first appearance of Em’s “laugh ad-lib” after a clever line.

He says ‘my facilities filled with fans packed to capacity’ in the line before.

This is him saying that, potentially at a concert, all of the facilities (toilets) are filled. The rappers shit themselves because there are no available toilets.

ICP members Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J first met in Oak Park, which is 16.4 miles from Detroit (but it’s okay to round up for diss songs)

However, both were born in Ferndale, which is 12 miles away. Closer but still not close enough to call it your hometown.

The funny thing is, Eminem himself is from Warren, which is around 18 miles from Detroit proper. Both Ferndale and Warren are both border cities of Detroit and considered part of metro Detroit.

If one uses Google maps and clicks where it says Detroit which is downtown and then clicks on where it says Ferndale which is on 9 Mile, it gives like 12 driving miles. So while the borders from city to city are next to each other, if one searched like I just said those distances would result.

After listening to the ICP audiobook, it said that Violent J was from Berkley, then moved to Oak Park and met 2 Dope and his brother who were going to school there but were from Ferndale. Later, J moved to Ferndale with his family. Some time after forming ICP, they got an apartment somewhere on Cass near Wayne State.

By the time this song was released J was living in Novi, I believe. Eminem eventually bought the mansion of the ex-Kmart CEO out in Rochester Hills, which if measured the same way results in about 28 miles.

Who ever wrote that Ferndale is 12 miles away from Detroit is either retarded or someone who isn’t from nowhere around here. Ferndale sits right on 8 Mile. When you start getting near Woodward you can see the differences of the Ferndale and Detroit sides along the road.

Oak Park and Ferndale border Detroit along 8 mile so I’m pretty sure that isn’t the root of the lyric. Violent J reportedly lives “40 miles northwest of Detroit”. I’ve heard Commerce Township but I have no official source to cite to back that up.
