English translation:

Dragonborn, Dragonborn, by his honor is sworn,
To keep evil forever at bay!
And the fiercest foes rout when they hear triumph’s shout,
Dragonborn, for your blessing we pray!

Hearken now, sons of snow, to an age, long ago,
And the tale, boldly told, of the one!
Who was kin to both wyrm, and the races of man,
With a power to rival the sun!

And the voice, he did wield, on that glorious field,
When great Tamriel shuddered with war!
Mighty Thu'um, like a blade, cut through enemies all,
As the Dragonborn issued his roar!

Dragonborn, Dragonborn, by his honor is sworn,
To keep evil forever at bay!
And the fiercest foes rout when they hear triumph’s shout,
Dragonborn, for your blessing we pray!

And the Scrolls have foretold, of black wings in the cold,
That when brothers wage war come unfurled!
Alduin, Bane of Kings, ancient shadow unbound,
With a hunger to swallow the world!

But a day, shall arise, when the dark dragon’s lies,
Will be silenced forever and then!
Fair Skyrim will be free from foul Alduin’s maw!
Dragonborn be the savior of men!

Dragonborn, Dragonborn, by his honor is sworn,
To keep evil forever at bay!
And the fiercest foes rout when they hear triumph’s shout,
Dragonborn, for your blessing we pray!

Despite the fact that some people play it at their wedding, Sting told NME it’s “ it’s a nasty little song, really rather evil … about a jealousy and surveillance and ownership”. Pretty creepy!

He once shared on BBC Radio 2:

“One couple told me ‘Oh we love that song; it was the main song played at our wedding!’ I thought, ‘Well, good luck.’”

Despite this, people clearly like the song, since as of 2003, Sting was still making over $2,000 dollars a day in royalties.

The first two lines of the song also make reference to the second verse of “Dye'r Mak'er” by Led Zeppelin.

A ‘Jive Turkey’ is perhaps the most heinous insult in the Disco Era. It basically means the person has no idea what they are talking about .

As UD says

Jive Turkey was a derogatory slang word in African American Vernacular English (Ebonics), used to refer to someone who was unreliable, made empty promises, or who was full of bluster. Several funk groups in the late 1960s and 1970s used the term, particularly the Ohio Players in songs such as “Jive Turkey” on the album Skin Tight from 1974.

Jive turkey, however, was already falling into disuse when it was spoken by “hip” television characters in the 1970s, such as George Jefferson. Jive turkey is also a quick step dance in Germany in the 1930s.

This phrase has been shouted out in Semi Pro. The movie shows a ‘typical’ reaction to being called a JT.
