An amazing musical moment and a beautiful ending to Archetype, Gathered’s production is nothing short of spectacular. Tonedeff was assisted by the J-Quartet in laying down the string sections heard throughout Gathered. Tonedeff also brought forth moving piano lines and beautiful vocal work, as well as hard hitting drums that come out of nowhere halfway through the song. Tonedeff also adds an amazing, atmospheric outro to the album featuring soaring string sections and vocal harmonies.

Case Closed gives us some breathtaking bars from Tonedeff, as well as a great beat from Domingo. Domingo brought in some great brass samples and a moving saxophone line that acts as the bass line. Domingo added some good drum fills as well to compliment Tonedeff’s bars.

Children is a very introspective song on Archetype and is backed by Tonedeff’s consistently great production. Assisted by labelmate Deacon the Villain’s sister, Tonedeff created a beat with airy and pusling percussion, as well as moving synth lines and a structural change near the end where an infectious solo grips your ears.

Tonedeff created a very minimal beat for Heavyweight to enunciate his technical ability and voracious cadence as an emcee. Regardless, Tonedeff’s production comes through with a solid beat comprising of a flowing boom-bap beat, a looped string synth line, and backing vocals by Tonedeff.

E.L’s string-lead beat fits perfectly into the overall musical direction of Archetype, and Tonedeff’s further refinement of the production makes it even better. Tonedeff added basslines, intricate synth lines, and his trademark vocal harmonizing to the beat to give Pervert a feel that matched it’s lyrics perfectly.

Politics is an assault on the errors and flaws on the record industry, and the beat Tonedeff produced matches perfectly. Tonedeff brought in original drums, synth lines, and intricate choral work to create a hard-hitting beat for Tone’s lyrical assault.
