Waka Flocka likens himself to Bill Russell, an 11-time NBA champion from the Boston Celtics and one of the most dominant centers of all time. Michael Jordan famously wore the number 23 during his first years with the Bulls and his stint with the Wizards, so Murs is referring to the Air Jordan line as “23.” Murs also goes on to show his love for the Jordan XIII by saying that it’s the best Jordan.
Personally, I prefer the IIIs and Vs, but to each his own.
The line “out of 23” is actually in reference to the fact that, at the time of this song’s release (2008) the Jordan signature line was up to it’s 23rd model.
