Some rappers act friendly with one another, putting on a facade just because they know it’s good for publicity, their image and business. As Hopsin is well aware, many people you meet in the industry aren’t true friends but rather people who simply want to leech off your success and fame. This is one of the core reasons why Hopsin felt compelled to retire and leave the industry.

In an interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club Kanye West spoke on this very topic, detailing rappers put on and face friendliness, saying:

The girl had said they would always be together and never have any issues, Tinie thought the relationship was in a good position, enough so he began to think they’d get married one day (or make it to the altar). This is foreshadowing their relationship falling apart in the later lines.
