An allusion to Kanye’s line, “I’m heading home, I’m almost there. I’m on my way, heading up the stairs. To my surprise, a nigga replacing me.”

CG references Kanye’s original song (which is fitting since this is the remix), and says that it was him in Kanye’s bed with his bitch (Not Wiz).

Something also worth adding: When a woman cheats on a man, the man tends to blame whoever she cheated with. However, CG is pointing out that he did the guy a favor; if it wasn’t with him, it would have been another guy, now at least you know she wasn’t who you thought she was.

Using household items as a metaphor for sex. They “bang on them hoes” (which quite literally means “have sex with.” Well, unless Taylor Gang are wife beaters, which would definitely surprise me).

“Socket work” is in reference to a light socket, and Chevy’s “plug” happens to be his dick…

It is said that rappers base their success on how many people hate them. In one’s rise to fame in the rap game, one will undoubtedly come across conflicts.

When you’re “killing shit,” or succeeding in the game, it’s best to watch out for a “murder witness,” or the people who try to rain on your parade.

The wordplay here takes place with the actual concept of “killing,” and murder witnesses. If there are witnesses to a murder, then you are most likely going to jail.

Fergie helped Will.I.Am, and the Black Eyed Peas as cocaine helped Fabolous. Fergie is indeed a white girl, which ties this part of the line to the latter.

Clever metaphor. Fab blew tons of money on this girl, but in the end she still fucked him over. He could also be saying that he didn’t smoke while he was with her, so even though he gave that up it still wasn’t enough.

A reference to Wonder Bread. He’s saying God works wonders.

There are several other hidden meanings to this line as well:

  • Fab uses the alternate meaning of “bread” (money) to refer to the previous line about increased cost.

  • The word “wonders” refers to God’s ability to make miracles without bread, as well as allude to the famous bread company, Wonder.

  • The pronunciation of the word “though,” sounds like “dough,” which is another bread reference.
