This song tells a story about a kid living in poverty who uses music to make it out; hence the name “Balladeer” which is someone who tells stories in the form of a song, much like Cee does in this one.

The first verse gives some background information about the family and their living conditions.

Reference to Jason Statham (pictured below), who stars in a lot of action movies. Also meaning Cee wants to be a part of all the action in the music industry (tours, awards, fans, etc.)

Those boring high school summer days can now be filled with working on music (Cee was a senior in high school when this was written)

Literal meaning: kids seem to have a lot of energy so, most likely, if you were to put some kids on a track there would be a lot of running involved. Figurative meaning: Cee is bringing energy to every track he raps on, as well as leaving his mark on it.
