I tweaked the pronunciation of King Tut’s full name in the previous line for rhymes sake… correcting myself here.

based off of the rhyme scheme of the previous line, i felt it would have been easy to say “muhfuckas better duck like Aflac” but that lines been used before.. (Talib Kweli-Go With us is one example) So i said the same thing but differently. Gilbert Gottfried was the voice of the Aflac duck until he made some very controversial jokes about victims of the Tsunami in Japan back in 2011. Aflac dropped him almost immediately

Johnny Cash is known for his song Walk the Line.. play on that and arguably the most popular Wu-Tang song C.R.E.A.M. (Cash rules everything around me). I thought it would be cool to juxtapose two very different artists like Cash and Wu.

These first few lines were to say that I’ve come to the conclusion that I will reach the goals i’ve set, and the only thing that is to be debated is the reason why I will reach them.. just good fortune? or a result of things that were meant to be?

This is where part of the title for the record comes from… “The Preamble” I wanted this song to be more of a prequel for things to come.
