The new Ken Caminiti!?!?

In what may be a sub-par offensive season for him, Evan Longoria has brought his two-time Golden Glove out to field—a league leading 149 games to be exact.

In his first year with New York, Ellsbury has been a top candidate for Gold Glove. He makes the routines plays and always gets great jumps but can also make the great diving catch.

Not as good as a similar catch in the Bronx recently—a catch against Jacoby himself.

Gregorius makes the list twice and for good reason. This off-balance throw from the edge of left field has to be one of the best throws of the season.

Is it safe to say Arizona values defense over offense in their shortstops? Didi is barely hitting over .200 this year, but you can’t blame them for wanting him in the lineup everyday with that defense.

Adam Vinatieri has been a reliable kicker ever since his first season in 1996. In his age 41 season, many fans picked him up on their fantasy teams knowing he was a low-risk, consistent player. One point so far for Vinatieri because, well, the Colts haven’t given him a chance.

In 2010 and 2011, Castro was on top of the world in Cubs Nation. After leading the league in hits with 207 in 2011 at the age of 21, he started into a decline. His numbers slipped slightly in 2012 and in 2013 he had a dismal season. People began to write him off as a player who couldn’t prove his greatness who had already fallen off too much.

While he was selected as an All-Star, there’s still an impression that Castro is no longer a good player. He’s hitting .292, which leads all major league shortstops. It’s rumored his season is over with injury, so he ends with a tie for his career high of 14 homers. He also hit .328 with runners on base.

Castro is a legitimate good player. With 845 career hits through the age 24, you bet he’s on pace for 3000 hits!

2014 has been a weird year for the Colorado Rockies. At the beginning of the year, the Rockies seemed like they could have one of the best offensive teams ever. Now in September, MLB fans have to be wondering what went wrong with Colorado as they sit at 56-84 on September 5th.

Injuries ruined CarGo, Tulo, Rosario, and Arenado, while Charlie Blackmon’s dream season slowly cooled off. That leaves Corey Dickerson, who has been a major bright spot. 22 homers and a .311 average are something to talk about in a pitching year of 2014.

Just check these rankings: fifth among starters in baseball with a 2.42 ERA and ninth among starters with a 1.08 WHIP.

So why haven’t you heard of Danny Duffy? Even though people value wins and losses less and less as years go by, people still probably see his 8-11 record and stop looking. Also, this is his first full season since 2011, his rookie year. That year, he had an ERA of 5.64.

Davis is hands down the best relief pitcher in baseball that isn’t a closer. Middle relief pitchers have always been underrated and Wade Davis just adds to that. His ERA is 0.73 and that isn’t a typo. His 99 mph fastball has given him a K per 9 innings of 13.1. Why aren’t people talking about this man?

Also, the James Shields for Wil Myers trade has been talked about a lot over the year. Ever notice how people fail to mention Davis?
