This would be referring to Chicago teammate Juan Uribe. He played five great seasons as Chicago’s shortstop, with two seasons as Thomas' teammate.

As a White Sock, he is best remembered for this catch as the second-to-last out of the World Series. He also made the final out.

In what ended up being his two last seasons as a player, the Blue Jays signed Thomas to an $18 million two-year contract. 2007 was a special year, not only because he hit 26 bombs and 95 RBI, but he also reached the magical 500 Home Run milestone.

FUN FACT:

Thomas’s 500th home run was a milestone bookend, so to speak. His first and 500th home runs were hit in the Twins' former ballpark: the Metrodome.

Not only was it Thomas' first ring, it was also the first time the White Sox won the World Series in 88 years.

Thomas played only 34 games that year, due to a series of injuries (including a foot fracture) and sadly it was his last season with Chicago.

Thomas played with the White Sox shortstop Ozzie Guillen Ozzie Guillen from the beginning of his career in 1990 until 2000. Guillen was the 1985 AL Rookie of the Year, a three-time All-Star, and a Gold Glover in 1990 (see [this 4-6-3 double play of which Frank Thomas also played a minor role).

That would not be the end of their professional relationship, though, as Ozzie returned to the White Sox as a manager in 2004. He manged for two years before Thomas left the city of Chicago. He was known for being very fiery.

The legend of the Boston outfielder continues. Brock Holt makes great plays anywhere. He started as an infielder but now in the outfield he’s making some gems. Check out this beauty:

He’s also hitting over .300 on the year.

Hard to believe that this guy’s natural position is second base. Now in the outfield for the M’s, Dustin Ackley is still shining.

Coming off of a disappointing All-Star break, Puig wanted to prove himself. And he did. With three triples.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51HI-8Oo9qk

According to mlb.com:

Puig’s three triples set a Los Angeles single-game record and matched Jimmy Sheckard’s franchise record, set Opening Day in 1901. He was the first in the Major Leagues since Denard Span with Minnesota in 2010 and the first in the National League since Rafael Furcal in 2002. Puig’s four extra-base hits and 11 total bases were career highs, the total bases were the most for a Dodger since Kevin Elster had 12 in 2000.

Arguably the at-bat of the year. Yeah, it’s that good.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0s57tG7v7dE

With the game scoreless and bases loaded, Hunter Pence was in a duel. He was facing the proven closer Jonathan Papelbon, who had been having a great year up to that point. After fouling off pitch after pitch, including taking a ball that Pap thought was strike three, the hype of the at-bat built up. Finally Pence drove in three runs to give his team the lead.

Andrelton was probably the defensive wizard of 2013 and he’s not ready to lose that crown in 2014. Simmons dove to his right and then had to dive again to his left to get the force out.

At the beginning of the day, he was a San Diego Padre in Chicago. By night, Chase Headley was a New York Yankee, up at the plate in the 14th inning. The game was nearing an excruciating five hours in length, and Yankee fans were hoping the new guy could come through so that they could go to bed.

Yankees fans slept well that night.
