Crooked makes a clever simile and play on words with the word “mark”. A mark is someone who’s a punk or someone who’s pathetic. They’re marks just like how Mark Zuckerberg and Mark Sanchez are Marks because their first name is Mark.

A mark can also be seen as a vulnerable target. Seeing as how Mark Zuckerberg is one of the co-founders of Facebook, with a networth of $27.2 Billion, he might be a target for some.

Mark Sanchez is a quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles with a networth of $24.2 Million

Although they are very rich and probably have heavy security to protect them from getting robbed so they won’t be easy targets.

At first you’d think Joell was referring to killing time as in letting time pass by until the album’s release date.

But Joell assures that he doesn’t mean he wants to kill time, but rather that it’s time to kill other rappers when the Slaughterhouse album drops.

“Slow it down, I just dissed you” is the catch phrase from the battle rapper Conceited

The reference fits in well since Slaughterhouse & Eminem are pushing the culture and making a battle rap league.

Joell is reminiscing about the good ol' days, and this included back when Lil Kim was popular and Joell hung up this poster of Lil Kim on his wall, staring at it.

Crook has enough wealth to give to all his nephews when he dies in his will which is a document that states who gets your property and other belongings when you die.

He also makes a play on words with the word “will”. He refers to having all his nephews in his will, just like how Uncle Phil from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has his nephew, Will, in his will.

When Crook raps, he never lies. Everything you hear from him is the truth and things he’s experienced unlike a lot of rappers who make up fake stories to sell records.

This part is from Jay Z’s song, “Dynasty (Intro)”. The instrumental on this song is from that Jay Z song so it’s only right that Crook continued spitting after Jay finished off his verse.

Have some goals for yourself that you can reach so you can make a lot of money to be able to afford lots of expensive things without being broke after buying them. A lot of expensive brands are hard to pronounce.

Kanye West once said something similar about expensive brand name pronounciation.

I can’t even pronounce nothing, pass that ver-say-see!

He spells out his own name: Kenny. In this line he speaks in the third person since he uses “he” when referring to himself.

Kenny is the only Horseshoe G.A.N.G member who smokes and he often makes weed references in his verses.

Although many people may have discovered Crooked I through Slaughterhouse, he’s been in the rap game since 1995 when he was 17 and got his first record deal with Virgin Records. In 1999 he signed to the infamous Death Row Records.

Demetrius thanks his older biological brother, Crook, for paving the way for the new west coast rappers. The theme in this mixtape is “Crooked I Robots” which refers to artists who got their style from Crook and there’s a lot of them. Crook’s brothers, the Horseshoe G.A.N.G, were the first of the Crooked I Robots.

Kendrick Lamar is a fellow west coast rapper who Demetrius says got his style from Crooked I since Crook has influenced a lot of west coast rappers.

Remember kids, even if Kendrick is more popular than Crook, he’s still a Crooked I Robot!
