Sex, Money and Hip Hop is Crook’s newest mixtape dropping on December 16th. Shady’s #1 is the second song released by Crook after his name change, following Freestylin Under Oath.

House Slippers, Some Love Lost, and PRhyme are Joell’s, Joe’s, and Royce’s latest projects, respectively. House Slippers (debuting at 45th on the Billboard 200) and Some Love Lost (debuting at 55th on the Billboard 200) are already out, and the highly anticipated PRhyme album will be released December 9th.

In 2008, Crook did a series called “Hip Hop Weekly” where he would drop a freestyle every week for 52 weeks.

After that was done, Crooked needed some more opportunities in his career. God gave him the keys to open more doors of opportunity such as him being apart of Slaughterhouse and having his fan base increased after fans of the other 3 rappers heard him.

Crooked has mentioned this line before on the Slaughterhouse song “Onslaught”. He claims to be the best west coast rapper right after Tupac Shakur.

The best ever on the West unless your last name’s Shakur

When he first said it, it was a bold statement. But now he doesn’t even have to mention that because people already know how dope he is.

Ebola is a deadly disease that has been around since 1976. It recently became more well known after being the most widespread epidemic of Ebola.

Crooked uses a simile where he compares how ill (good) he is at rapping by comparing it to something which is very ill like Ebola. When you’re this ill, you don’t need to tell people about it, they already know.

Back then, Royce Da 5'9" used to be an alcoholic and his favourite drink was Patrón.

Although he’s sobered up and has been sober for 2 years.

In fact, Royce was so well known for his love for Patrón, that Joe made a reference to it on the Slaughterhouse song, “Not Tonight”

Royce on Patron, Crook got the chrome
Guess what I’m tryna say is leave them boys alone

On Slaughterhouse’s self-titled debut studio album, Slaughterhouse, Royce made a Voltron reference on the first song, “Sound Off”.

He compared Slaughterhouse to Voltron, read about the comparison here

We a outfit, equivalent to Voltron’s
That boy Crooked I’s equivalent to four arms
Joell Ortiz is the body
The cannibal slash killer, kill you then eat your body
Joe Budden is the pair of legs
He runs shit alongside I, the apparent head

At this point in his career, Crooked had enough money to be able to afford a Bentley. This phone call took place in 2008. After Joe Budden made a track called “Slaughterhouse” feauturing Crooked I, Royce Da 5'9", Joell Ortiz, & Nino Bless, the internet went crazy after hearing it and wanted more.

They decided to form a group and named it after their first track; Slaughterhouse. Crook addressed the reason why Nino Bless was excluded from the group.

Nino is fresh. Nino is a dope lyricist, but he didn’t really fit the criteria. All of us have been in the game, been through things… It just made more sense that way. Shout out to Nino. He told me he was responsible for waking Joey up to me. I gotta salute him for that, if nothing else.

Crook’s mom was in the kitchen getting high off of smoking doja(weed).

She has always supported him and knows how hard life is for their family and just wants him to succeed. Since people who grow up very poor tend to have little or no self esteem, they don’t really reach their full potential because they don’t believe in themselves. Crook’s mom saw how talented he was at rapping and knew he’d make it one day.

Crook grew up so poor that he couldn’t even afford to write his raps in a notebook. He had to settle with writing them on the back of an eviction notice which are usually issued after the tenants have failed to pay the rent.

The Chronic & 2001 are 2 of Dr. Dre’s solo albums that are considered classics by many people.

In the 90s, Crooked would rap over the instrumentals from those 2 albums for practice. Back then, Crooked wouldn’t believe you if you told him he’d one day work with the legendary Dr. Dre.

When Crook signed with Death Row Records back in 1999, he got a call from Aftermath Entertainment asking to meet with him to discuss business, just hours after he signed with Death Row.
