Featured in the Sonos home speaker commercial with Questlove in mid-late 2013.

Danny! tells the story of making this mix on his now-defunct Tumblr page saying:

“We’ve all seen brother ?uesto do his thing in this SONOS advert

When he hit me up and told me that the SONOS censors didn’t take too kindly to the profanity/”I’ma kidnap the Olsen twins”/etc. of the original version,
I knew I had to clean it up.
Strapped for time (it was due within hours or it would’ve got cut), I merely replaced them with the vocals from “I Ain’t The Walrus“ and "Hoedown Showdown”

Didn’t think much of it;

Now that it’s been playing during Adult Swim commercial breaks recently, a TON of people have been asking about this version (mostly by way of YouTube comments, but still)

    This is a throw back to the Biggie small song “The ten crack commandments” which is also a rap styled as a list of information such as this one. Biggie’s opening lines are the same: “I’ve been in the game for years its made me an animal”

    The numbers refer to his jail/prison number that the original singer Toots Hibbert received when he was booked and charged for marijuana possession. It made him feel used and like a piece of meat. You can tell this by the way they sing “somebody else has that number”, as though they are reflecting on a bad experience and that somebody else is going through that same broken system.

    The lyrics describe Toots' time in prison after being arrested for possession of marijuana. Bradley took that theme and made it his own, by referring to a fist fight he’s saying he got arrested for fighting. When he says somebody else has that number he’s referring to the practice of reusing inmate numbers, meaning he’s been released so they’ve assigned that number to someone else.
