He’s advising us not to always believe what the media says in blogs and tabloids about him. He doesn’t give a fuck about his haters and neither should you.

On a sidenote in regards to Swiftgate at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, some of the rumors alleged Kanye had been boozing a little too much, giving him the Dutch courage to interrupt Miss Swift. Here, he could be dispelling those rumors, saying he’s “immune to the booze.”

Drake is part of Young Money Cash Money Billionaires, a team run by Birdman, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, Busta Rhymes, et. al.

He could be taking swipes at G.O.O.D. Music, since Common is affiliated with that crew.

Also, Pusha T is signed to G.O.O.D. Music, and he has his own feud with Drake, as evident from “Sweet Freestyle” and “Don’t Fuck With Me.”

Drake accused Common of avoiding him and addressed this at the Cali Christmas Concert after “Sweet” dropped.

Drake and Common did eventually run into each other at the 2012 Grammys. But according to Common, they squashed the beef once they meet face to face:

We had a talk, we had a conversation. It was a face-to-face, man-to-man, a positive thing. It was a good conversation. I’ve learned to respect him even more. I already thought he was a talented guy, but just from the conversation we had, I hold even more respect for him. We saw each other and the conversation was initiated. It was just a respectful conversation that needed to be had, so he knew that I’m not at him trying to destroy him as a human being. It was a Hip Hop battle to me. I had to put all of those things into Hip Hop… I gave him a pound, gave him a boom and it was all love.

Aimed at rapper Common. Common dissed Drake in the song “Sweet”–something he at first denied, and then grudgingly admitted.

This line establishes the verse as Drake’s counter-punch and indicates that Common is acting like a woman. The “acting” word choice is a nod to Common’s burgeoning career as a thespian. The phrasing also gives Common respect for what he’s done in the rap game, just calling him a bitch for what he’s doing now

While Drake has not directly confirmed that this section of the song is about Common, French Montana, who also appears on this track, has told interviewers to “read between the lines” to understand the tune.

Drake is always physically gone from piles of kush or cups of lean–or even both.

However, he’s blown up so much recently that it’s not hard to find him playing shows near you or on a TV in your house, especially thanks to his Degrassi days.
