This track from Clipse’s classic debut album Lord Willin' is the token “club track,” though the boys make it much harder than your regular club song.

The beat was produced by The Neptunes, who show off some of their jazz training here. The melodic line runs up and down the Altered scale – popular in jazz, but rarely used in popular music.

Jack and the Beanstalk is a traditional English fairy tale with obscure origins, but dating back to at least the 16th century.

The song’s title references a line in the previous song on this album, “Bastard”. The “beanstalk” refers to the rapper’s penis.

This song includes many braggadocio rhymes and is mocking of rap sterotypes.

Yela is from Alabama. He claims to drink dirty creek water and turn it into the longest river in the world with his rap “flow”

Interestingly, Bobby Creekwater was one of the “1.0 Boys” who didn’t work out (he was signed to Shady Records before Yela, but eventually left). Yelawolf also has an old album called “CreekWater”

Joell’s trademark vocal sound, similar to Gucci’s “burrr”

Originally “YAOWA” meant “Yawhuhup?‘ He’d be twisted.

It turned into Yaowa. Ortiz has given it a “backronym” – You’re Actually One World Away
Your Ass On Wild Anesthetics.

“House” is a TV show about a group of doctors who seem to find out every sickness and cure it. Joe claims that you’ll need those doctors after he injures you

He’s also calling you a “house nigga” – a term derived from slavery days. While most did labor intensive field work, some slaves worked in their owner’s home and were favored by the slave owners (they would have received better medical treatment). They were considered lucky/soft by others and the term now describes a black person who isn’t hard

This also could be a shot at Inspectah Deck, a member of Wu-Tang, who recorded a diss of Joe Budden called “House Nigga”
