To water something down is to dilute it and make it less potent. Hop believes that artists have produced sub-par music, filling hip-hop with weak content. However, instead of giving up on the genre, he’s “scuba diving” to beat down the less lyrical (watered down) emcees, in the hopes that by highlighting their inferiority people will stop indulging in their content.

“X marks the spot” common phrase in the pirate days, to denote a special location that had buried treasure. Many letters in the alphabet come close, but to not the exact approximation X’s named after.

She’s obviously joking here with one allusion and 3 puns! The Bumblebee Co. as you know is very famous for making high quality “affordable” Tuna, to those who don’t have the money (like Nicki) to have the gourmet variety served at fine dining restaurants.

For the puns:
A. Breadwinner – The one who works hard for that tuna (meat) or “Bringing home the bacon!” or most common “Putting food on the table.” providing for their family.

B. Busy Bee - Someone who is constantly on a “buzz” for that sweet success “honey” another comparison to the previous lines about success.

C. Worker Bees – In colonies are the ones who pollinate flowers to produce honey for the Queen

So Nicki is saying, how you are eating Tuna, yet claiming to be the “Big Fish” when to her, you’re just a worker bee? Nicki is the “Queen Bee” remember? Didn’t Lil' Kim used to call herself that?????

Humility is widely praised in Christianity, particularly in the Gospel of Matthew. As a Christian, Nicki is saying that to truly be a queen, one has to acknowledge that they are not as great as God, and have merely being given such power as a symbolic gesture of “God bestowing Grace to His Creation”.

1 Corinthians 15:10 – “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.

“With great power, comes great responsibility” – Uncle Ben to Peter Parker (Spiderman)

Be grateful for what you have, because not everyone can be successful.

Dames is one of many sexist terms used to describe what women were popularly called during the 20’s, with the modern context for a women “being a good gal” as a servant, in those days it was reserved for waitresses, and barkeeps, positions women were often assigned to in both clubs and speakeasies. In this way, women were cheaper than 5 dollar hookers like “Dimes”. In Hip Hop, we now deem these women as “Dimepieces” or in Mainstream Rap videos “Video Honeys” Pretty interesting throwback.

However the term has a much more archaic, older history.
4. (Archaic) A naive, dull young lady

The classic airhead or bimbos as Nicki would usually prefer depending on her choice of words.

But, what she does here is a stroke of genius, choosing to instead refer to herself in usually regal royalty in most of her songs, with the British definition below (She really is infatuated with British culture, if you haven’t noticed with her Roman accent)

  1. Dame (cap.) (in Britain)
  2. the official title of a female member of the Order of the British Empire, equivalent to that of a knight.
  3. the official title of the wife of a knight or baronet.

  4. Dame (Archaic). a woman of rank or authority, esp. a female ruler.

Speaking of “Roman” the British definition comes from the Roman people’s usage of Latin root “Domina” female noun declension ending for “Woman who dominates, has authority”

With a vernacular and diction like Nicki’s, the British were known for being appraised intellectuals in grammar, logic, reasoning, nobility and education. Knowledge literally meant great power (Knowledge is power) in the monarchy. Words truly spoken of a queen!

Minaj is indeed in a sense a “modern classic” already as a female rapper, the matriarchal “Mother” H.B.I.C. in Hip-Hop

Nicki is too good to be at bars for venues, like the basic Law of Demand in Economics “The lower the price, the higher the demand” However, she IS the price people pay to see her regardless of how much she’s worth. Doesn’t matter to her, business is business! She’s even willing enough to invade their turf and take their fame, if she wants to!

To quote Mick Jagger (who has a Ph.D in Economics, btw) “If we are demanded to play a show, we’ll supply!”

*To add in, bar girls are basically first rate strippers without poles, so in a sense Nicki is saying those bitches ARE “Coyote Ugly” as dirty animals, and aren’t civilized as much as “hoes”. You can even say, they are uglier than Mick himself!

Perhaps another way of saying the phrase, “If you can’t stand the heat, then get the hell out the kitchen!”

All her competition will be burnt toast, in other words Nicki is (sexually) hot, all those other women are not.

Nicki is so hot (temperature), she can’t even get contained or cool down in a bar, or gonna need something bigger than tongs to handle her!

Interestingly enough, strippers often dance at bars, does this remind anyone of “I Endorse These Strippers” from her “The Re-UP” album?

Tying in with the previous line he refers to being a kingpin, as to why dealers are made in his image. The reason for how he can see God’s face in the mirror, is a pun on being a “Drug Lord”, as Scarface relative to the “Kingpin lifestyle,” like Scarface. Also whiteness, represents purity and goodness in Christianity, the properties cocaine happens to share.

So the image gets much" clearer", when costumers dial his phone asking for drugs. He is morally compelled to feel as if he is their “healer”, for their daily troubles.
This is similar when Christians get on their knees to receive their “Sunday Fix”, addicts follow in a manner. They get high off of “dopamine” in the spiritual energy from Southern Baptist services, the exact feeling users and dealers get off their activities. A drug dealer and spiritual healer are one, they have the same demographic. The church and streets provide the “service”, different messages. Most ex-crack dealers often turn to God, to change their life to become preachers.

#You’re WASHED UP, BITCH!

If you’re not giving Nicki enough money than she’s not taking the deal. The middleman would be better off, giving it to a chick (such as Kim or really any other rap bitch rn who became irrelevant) who is worth that little bit of money.

She usually says this, in conjunction with one her words/phrases from the “Nicktionary” (which is hilarity at its finest) such as “Tumble dry”

V., Tumble Dry, : \təm-bəl-drī\ – Used when speaking to any WASHED UP bitches. Ex. “Tumble Dry bitch! Tumble Dry!”
