Drake is in a league all by himself, and he has no viable competition from any other rapper

Drake also plays on the words “game” and “scrimmage”, terms used in many sports. Teams usually scrimmage against themselves to see how they would fare against other teams.

But Begbie, I couldn't give a shit about him. Trainspotting Final Scene by Danny Boyle (Ft. Irvine Welsh & John Hodge)

Begbie was one of the few friends Renton had that didn’t use heroin. However, he was no angel — in fact he was the complete opposite, as Renton introduces him in the movie by calling him a psychopath.

Begbie didn’t do drugs…He just did people

He has a very short temper and can go ballistic at any time, exemplified by in the movie by almost killing an unassuming man at a bar because he lost a game of pool and carelessly dropping a glass from the top of the bar, which severely cuts a woman at the bottom level of the bar

When Renton goes clean and moves to London, Begbie becomes a wanted criminal in Scotland, and seeking refuge, shows up at Renton’s doorstep in London. This is when Renton truly starts to despise Begbie, as he shows no respect towards Renton even though he had voluntarily took Begbie into his apartment.

What breaks the camel’s back was when, after the big score, when Begbie almost kills a man (yet again) after the man accidentally bumps into Begbie and makes him spill some of his beer. At this moment, Renton decides that he is going to steal all of the money and leave Begbie with nothing

"Now I've justified this to myself in all sorts of ways. It wasn't a big deal, just a minor betrayal. Or we'd outgrown each other, you know, that sort of thing. But let's face it, I ripped them off - my so called mates. Trainspotting Final Scene by Danny Boyle (Ft. Irvine Welsh & John Hodge)

Renton, with Sick Boy, Spud, and Begbie, was able to score a huge profit (£12,000) off of a package of heroin. Renton wanted nothing to do with the transaction, or to associate with Sick Boy and Begbie, but was forced to pay half of the initial £4,000 to buy the package. However, after seeing Begbie lose his temper and nearly kill a man for bumping into him at a bar, decides that he has had enough of his “mates” and wakes up early in the morning, while the rest of mates are sleeping, and steals the briefcase full of the money they had just got from the transaction.

Renton knew that he had to dissociate from his old friends if he ever wanted to truly stay clean and move forward with his life, so he betrays them and steals all of the money.

MARK "RENT-BOY" RENTON: Trainspotting Final Scene by Danny Boyle (Ft. Irvine Welsh & John Hodge)

Rent-Boy, played by Ewan McGregor, is the main character/protagonist of the film. As a low-life heroin fiend at the beginning at the film he spends most of his life either shooting heroin or trying to find ways (illegal or not) to get money for more heroin with his mates. He tries to fight his addiction and all the withdrawal symptoms with it, but has more trouble than most people, and often goes right back to abusing the drug.

However, ¾ into the movie it seems Rent-Boy has gone clean for good and moves to London to get out of the heroin scene and set his life straight. However, his mates come back to haunt him and hunt him down in London, eventually dragging him back to the drug culture. Rent-Boy finally seems to rid himself with his toxic mates in the final scene of the movie by running away.
