People don’t really see what Deon is trying to accomplish. His visions of his future are too complicated for people to grasp. Using the “Life is what you make it” is basically saying he planned out his “dreams” and is actually living them as a reality; hence don’t wake him from his dream

Deon is so focused on his music that he locks his self inside his room and works on perfecting his skills. People tell him that too much work isn’t good for your body, but his success so far disproves it. He is going to go beyond the limits people predict by outdoing him self with his talent.

People always try to tell you what’s best for you and Deon is basically saying that those people who tell him to relax with music don’t understand the “Rap game/race”. So in order to succeed he needs to work all the time and will stop working when he dies aka “vacation”
