This is true even though Kanye can rap he is mostly praised for his production skills as they surpass his rapping skills by far.

As you can see most people prefer him as a producer than rapper, though he has been producing beats before he was even rapping though.

The instrumental comes from J Dilla’s “Alien Family.”

Joey Bada$$ talks about the beat:

That was T’nah [Apex] on the hook. I wrote that song the same time I wrote “World Domination.” I was just in a creative zone, and then this time I was just browsing beats. After I was done with the MF Doom phase I went into J Dilla and I was just browsing beats and I came across a beat called “Allen Family” by J Dilla and it pretty much flowed. The last verse I already had that written, but the first two and the hook, they flowed. I actually got the idea from freestyling because what I do is, record myself freestyling for about an hour and I go back and listen to it and get the ideas. Yeah, that’s how I got it.

This line is a play on words just switched around from the classic Snoop Dogg joint ‘Gin and Juice’ from the classic album ‘’Doggystyle‘’.

With so much drama in the L-B-C
It’s kinda hard being Snoop D-O-double-G
But I – somehow, some way
Keep coming up with funky ass shit like every single day

Also New York City is known for having a ton of different blocks, so it takes a hell of along time to take them all over, but he still takes over different gates every day though because he’s always busy on the blocks.
