Bella had an unquenchable thirst when she became a vampire. So too does he hope her ‘hunger’ for him doesn’t die out converting from fire to ice…when the relationship begins.
The Congaree’s he’s referring to are what Trinidadians refer to the red millipedes as. As you know upon sensing danger,these millipedes curl up in a small ball to protect themselves until said danger passes. So too does she curl up when ever he’s on top of her
As you can see they resemblance in the millipede’s complexion and the same redness found in Bella’s eyes upon conversion into a vampire.
(Also worth noting a millipede’s ability to eat is constant)

The ‘job’ he is referring to is her relationship status,which is Open. Obviously he wants to be in a relationship with her,so he’s up to being employed for her services and he isn’t doing it Frodo (which he pronounces slightly like ‘Fo dough’ i.e money) or for the Shire (the Shire is the place where Frodo’s people,the hobbits lived. So in a sense he’s not doing it for people either; which Frodo used as motivation to fullfill his own quest,the happiness of his people)

Which would we prefer trying…Fighting for someone or setting fire to the relationship and leaving it to burst into flames.
