And although I have my ups and downs, I know things will be fine once I put them into perspective, the positives always outweigh the negatives.

In response to the two lines before this, I continue to embrace the idea that I’ve been dreaming more than living lately, until reality hits again… everybody has their ups and downs, and the downs sometimes keep me in check and keep me honest and humble.

This line is a reference to the way things are portrayed in my mind…. sometimes I see things in an altered reality that makes me question what is and isn’t real. The reference to what I see in the world being 11 oceans is a metaphor for water, things going in and out of me at a very fast rate, as well as a reference to the classic flick

The easiest way to convey your thoughts sometimes is simply by painting a picture inside of the listener’s head, I figured I’d rather paint a picture of metaphors verbally instead of reaching about my struggles or talking about what most artists cover, from here on out this is a lyrical interpretation of what I see in my head, and how it works.

I want to show why this past summer has been critical to what I’ve been making lately

This past summer has really been a driving force in the music I’ve been creating lately, the “breeze” is a reference to how everything starting moving forward in my life, a response to the reference to the “wind” putting me back into the creative space I need to be to make more music

The opportunities I was once throwing away were coming in full circle again

Coming directly off LIVN, the process between releasing that tape and starting/finishing Sandy Shore Motel was definitely a rough road, but these lines are more of a reference to before I started taking music seriously. I had a lot of blown chances and opportunities due to the fact that I wasn’t in a stable state to create.
