Theres so many instances in which people only tend to think about what they’ve done or created after the fact and how much destruction it could bring. “The world” is a reference to our world, a single persons world, etc etc.

People always seem to appreciate things after it’s gone

In association with the line before this, the beef between Tupac and Biggie was something more or less fabricated by the media rather than something they could have peaced up themselves. In my opinion that’s what did both of them in.

What I’ve observed from the way the music industry treats musician is they sap their souls and leave them with nothing, or things get to such a fever pitch in their lives due to media that someone takes them out, or they take themselves out.

This is a reference to my relationship with music, the industry it’s a part of, and how I feel about it. I treat music like it’s my seed, but constantly factors try and push my love away from it, the Billie part is a reference to Michael Jackson’s track Billie Jean: “But the kid is not my son”
