In an interview with Complex, Raekwon elaborated on “Meth vs. Chef” and how he actually thinks Method Man won the “battle”:

I feel [Method Man] won still though because his flow was just so, ‘Who lit that shit it was I, the chinky eye…’ I was just going at him with the machine gun, ‘I’m goin’ all-out kid no turnbacks…’ So to this day we still laugh about it and it’s still a mystery to us who really won, but in my eyes, I’ll give it to him.

In an interview with Complex, Raekwon explained how the phrase “C.R.E.A.M.” was born and who had the idea:

Meth came up with the hook but our dude named Raider Ruckus, this was like Meth’s homeboy back then, like they was real close, he came up with the phrase ‘cash rules everything around me.’ So when he showed Meth what it was and was like, ‘Cash rules everything around me,’ Meth was like, ‘Word, you right!’ And turned it into a movie, and I came in later that day and heard it and co-signed it.

People who sit at the back of the bus are seen as troublemakers, similar to students sitting at the back of the class where authority figures can’t see them.

The oddness of the kids going to the back of the bus happily refers to the infamous Rosa Parks incident. In which Rosa Parks refused to go to the “black part” of the bus and ended up in jail.

Weaker and elderly people tend to sit/stand near the front, partially to stay away from trouble and also because it’s easier to stay at the front rather than walk further back with the bus rocking back and forth. They will often stand at the front of the bus as opposed to finding seating further back and dealing with potentially unsavoury people.

The meaning of the last line, “Cuz it will take some change, for you to make some change”, is not made up. It just exist, it’s a product of existence and thus a natural fact. That is, unlike the evolution theory, which can’t quite be proved yet.

Note how Bun B then uses “evolving”. Although the evolution is not solved, his mind will continue evolving; mutating; improving.
