This song is completely filled with traffic metaphors, for example the red light and wheel here. The red light refers to a stop, Hilary’s standing still and talking to herself pondering about her love life. Having both her hands on the wheel indicates that even though she’s standing still, she’s ready to go and just waiting to be able to go.

In the original version of this song, the line was:

I ain’t a player, I just crush a lot

This line was interpolated from the clean version of Big Pun’s hit song, “Still Not A Player.” The radio friendly version of the song, which substituted the word “fuck” for “crush,” included the line “I’m not a player, I just crush a lot.”

Mac references “Still Not A Player” as it also sampled the piano riff from Brenda Russell’s “A Little Bit of Love.” Mac previously used this line in the June 2009 track, “Keep It Rollin'.” He also referenced the song on his August 2009 track, “Unfaithful”:

She say I’m just a player like Punisher was

MC Prosee is a new rapper on RapGenius but the guy has a crazy long history as a poet. Honestly, I’m willing to admit this, we’ve laughed multiple times about some of the poetry. Poetry describing how the building you work in looks like without and metaphors? C'mon sun

Caia, DJ Snack or Captain Catnip is another producer but also a rapper who uses RapGenius. What I think everybody can agree on, is that she’s a lovely person, even when cranky. Her style is actually not that jazzy but more into the post-funk psychedelic hip-hop fusion (think Dark Time Sunshine) with a jazzy style genre…

Klonopin has and will always be more of an electronic guy when it comes to non-hip-hop music. But because he wanted to work for Psyonik and Isaiah he delved into jazz, having used one sample each in all the five songs he has on his Bandcamp as of now. Three or four of which he has gotten from other RapGenius members but that’s all love nahmean? Art can’t be rushed, it takes time to find and create.

In the last few months Klonopin has been working on producing instrumental jazz hip-hop for the Soul Brothers album by Psyonik and Isaiah G as Psyonik liked the stuff Klono did before that. The plan was twelve track, six with production by Klono and six by Dub A… but as of now, Klono has 5 tracks on his Bandcamp, all of which were passed upon although having received compliments from the “Soul Brothers”.
