This is a reference to Juicy J’s well-known “trippy” shtick. With the best example of it being his “We trippy mane” line.

People very often claim to see the Loch Ness monster swimming in the lake of the same name, while it is said that there isn’t even a monster. Thus the visualization must be misconception or hallucination. This is exactly what everybody but Koopa’s success looks like: They see it, but it really doesn’t even exist.

As we all know, the sun makes the world go ‘round. She brings us happiness and makes us grow. What would have become of us, the plants, and the animals if we had no natural light or warmth aside from fire?

Songwriter Barrett Strong came up with this line while in Chicago. To him, people were always saying “I heard it through the grapevine”. Associating the phrase with a telegraph slaves used to use: a human grapevine.

The line is used in this song to refer to Marvin, or someone he portrays, finding out his romantic partner betrayed on him through people gossiping (through the “grapevine”).

This is a pun on Young Jeezy’s affection with motivating thugs.

We all know his trapping without a doubt motivates thugs, but Future also plays on two of Jeezy’s albums here, Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101 and Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz Ambition. It’s also interesting to note that Jeezy’s sophomore LP, The Inspiration was to be originally titled The Inspiration: Thug Motivation 102.

Future also does his imitation of Young Jeezy’s famous drawn out “yeeeeeah” adlib at the end of this line.

Of course there’s no way to make guitarist, Tom Morello, or something alike out of “Hear the drummer get wicked”. So here DJ Z-Trip scratched in some Chuck D vocals from the Public Enemy hit “Bring the Noise”, with “the noise” referring to the music coming from the guitar.

These Chuck D lyrics actually have been used before. They’re the opening lines in the Public Enemy song “Welcome to the Terrordome”, which is a response to ex-group member Professor Griff stating that “Jews are responsible for the majority of wickedness in the world.”
