Gangrene is a condition people are in when their lives are threatened because of the death of skin (which is called necrosis). Gangrene would be a threat to the stability of one’s body and/or life.

Deltron Zero (Del) plays on this by using “this stability” to allude to the crooked society he lives in between the years 3030 and 3040.

Commonly thought to refer to Mississippi, “M-I-crooked letter” actually refers to the “mis” in “misfits”. Before picking OutKast, the duo tried “The Misfits” until they found that name was already taken. After looking up synonyms, the group came across “outcast”.

While Andre and Big Boi are indeed from the South, they’re both from Georgia instead of Mississippi. Furthermore, referencing a state wouldn’t make sense in the context of the line.

Two years after Southerplayalistic, OutKast returned to the scene with ATLiens. Big Boi started off that titular song with another mention of their previous name.

In the beginning of Event II album it becomes clear Deltron Zero “crash landed on the planet.” This means that the “small glimmer of light” might actually be the vehicle Del was flying.

Here politicians are compared to sheepherders. Sheepherders fleece sheep, and take all the wool they have. So just like sheepherders politicians take all the “wool,” or money the people have; They’re milking them dry.
