IMO the smartest writing of any show ever. Easily my most quoted (besides the simpsons).

So much of this show was so bad that I almost didn’t put it on my list, but I loved the early stuff so much I had to include it.

I only just finished this show and it’s already one of my favorites. It has it’s problems and is inconsistent, but that’s forgivable given they were only allowed to make 14 episodes. And to the executives at FOX who poorly marketed and then cancelled this show halfway into it’s first season:

Restating my argument about things being cliche for a reason.

I know it’s cliche to say The Wire is one of your favorite shows, but it’s cliche for a reason. It’s so much more than the collection of cool quotes a lot of people on the internet seem to think it is.

The Simpsons run from season 3 to 8 is my favorite collection of episodes of any show. It’s so good that even with the 16 following mediocre seasons (though 9 is still really good, and 10 is okay) is’s still my favorite show of all time. Plus, it gave birth to my favorite gif ever

Many don’t realize this script was almost entirely adapted from the pilot of the UK office, which is why Michael calls the garbage can a “wastepaper basket” here, despite that not being a common American expression.
