He could be referencing the premise that we are all essentially Gods. It’s thought heavily in the Kundalini practices. The bible also may make vague, ambiguous references toward this as when it mentions “the kindgom of heaven is within you”, and makes references to the “holy spirit” and talk of your “single eye” aka your third eye chakra which is a major aspect of the whole kundalini system.
On top of that, the fact god is omnipresent so he is everywhere at all times. Based on that fact, for us to be lower than god and him higher there would have to be a line of separation, but if you’re omnipresent there CAN be no line of separation as you’re already in that line as well. So he created us as illusions of himself which would still make us the entire thing.
Anyways, this is what I take his epiphany to mean, as many very knowledgeable people have also come to this realization through arduous studies. He realizes we are the whole thing – we reassures his earlier statements about “why should we die to go to heaven” because the kindgom of heaven is within you, etc. This subject is so vast though you could write pages upon pages about it, so I’ll leave it at this, but yeah.
