“Steel Here” is Tisha Campbell-Martin’s comeback single after 20+ years out of the music industry. It is the first single she has released in over 20 years, and it is one that hits home for her personally.

Many know Tisha the actress, who starred in the FOX television series Martin as Gina Waters-Payne from 1992 to 1997 and as Janet “Jay” Johnson-Kyle on the ABC television sitcom My Wife and Kids. However, decades after releasing her debut album Tisha and her 1992 hit “Push," Tisha Campbell-Martin put out “Steel Here”, which signifies her strength and resilience that, despite her past (which includes the horrific event of being raped at 3 years old), she’s “still here”.

The music video went viral without any publicity: “no major label, no big machine, shoot… No publicist even.”. Learn more about the symbolism within the video in her series of tweets.

Foo Fighters are an American rock band formed in 1995 by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl. Originally a solo project by him to overcome the grief of Kurt Cobain’s death, Grohl attracted label interest with his inaugural demo tape.

According to Dave Grohl, the band is named after the UFOs that were reported by Allied aircraft pilots in World War II.

I was reading a lot of books on UFOs. Not only is it a fascinating subject, but there’s a treasure trove of band names in those UFO books! So, since I had recorded the first record by myself, playing all the instruments, but I wanted people to think that it was a group, I figured that FOO FIGHTERS might lead people to believe that it was more than just one guy. Silly, huh?

Following the recording and release of the band’s self-titled debut album, Grohl recruited a full band to perform the songs live.

Foo Fighters have since achieved mainstream critical and commercial success, with nine studio albums (two of which reached #1 on the Billboard charts), twelve Grammy awards, and no signs of slowing down.

On March 25, 2022, drummer Taylor Hawkins died tragically at the age of 50.

Giants rookie Chris Heston just threw the first no-hitter of the season! He ended it in incredible fashion, striking out the side in the bottom of the 9th.

This made him the third rookie in franchise history to complete the no-no, and the first one since Hall-of-Famer Christy Mathewson threw one during his first season back in 1912.

The last no-hitter thrown by any rookie pitcher was Clay Buchholz in 2007.

Side Note: San Francisco has now thrown 3 out of the last 11 no-hitters; Tim Lincecum threw the last 2 in 2013 & 2014 respectively. (Furthermore, they’ve thrown 5 out of the last 25, and no team other than the Giants has collectively thrown more than two.)
