It’s also the finishing move of WWE executive (and retired professional wrestler) Triple H (also referred to as the “King of Kings” for a portion of his career).

FUN FACT: The “pedigree” got its name from another WWE executive: Michael Hayes. Triple H said the following regarding his finisher:

When I started in WWE, I was ‘The Greenwich Blue-blood’ and I was doing that move and they needed a name for it. And [Michael Hayes] thought it felt like handing someone their pedigree and that became the name.

1993 was the year Jennifer Holliday married her second husband, Andre Woods. It was also around this time when her mother died of cancer.

According to a June 1999 issue of Jet magazine, Holliday said that Andre Woods had ran through all the money she earned as an artist.

“It was like experiencing two deaths at the same time,” Jennifer remembers. “The grief was overwhelming.” To stabilize her emotions and help her cope with the loss of her mother and an ugly divorce, Jennifer took her doctor’s advice and decided to go back on the antidepressants that had been prescribed for her once before.
