Diplo had a breakout year in 2012, both as part of dancehall act Major Lazer and on his own

Diplo is, by all accounts, the godfather of modern dance music. The hyperactive DJ and producer is responsible for championing obscure local music styles from around the world and incorporating their influences into his own sublimely dance-worthy beats. When he’s not DJ-ing solo, as alter ego Major Lazer, formerly a musical collaboration with DJ/Producer Switch, and helps launch the careers of countless other up-and-coming musicians through his taste-making record label Mad Decent Records.

Steve Aoki is an American electronic house DJ, producer, and founder of Dim Mak Records, heard world-wide. He is also the son of the Benihana’s founder, Rocky Aoki.

Throughout his career, Aoki has built an extensive catalog of collaborations with other acts, such as ​will.i.am, BTS, Fall Out Boy, and MONSTA X, just to name a few. Some of his most popular tracks are remixes of other artists' works, such as his remix of Kid Cudi’s “Pursuit of Happiness”, or the remix of “MIC Drop” by BTS.

Aoki has also dedicated himself to other projects, such as DIM MAK’s clothing line or the Aoki Foundation, which aims to support organizations in the field of brain science and research.
