RuPaul is a well-known drag queen.

The double meaning is that Hollow is the weak link of all the rappers in Queens, and his low rapping ability “drags Queens” down.

This is Hollow’s criticism of the theatrics that Lux implements in most of his battles. Instead of just rapping, Lux’s “extra” shit makes it seem like a circus act, which leads to the double meaning on “fire round” as hoop of fire, and a battle round of rapping.

U.O.E.N.O was one of the breakout hits of 2013, and many artists remixed it including Rick Ross, Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne and A$AP Rocky. Black Hippy decided to hop on the remix train, and what resulted was a lyrical explosion. Kendrick deliberates on the celebrity women he’s had sex with, Soulo philosophizes about tortoises, Jay Rock laughs at instagram rappers, and Schoolboy puts a molly in her drink, but unlike Ross, he does it CONSENSUALLY.

Lupe takes the unconventional instrumental from an Atoms for Peace song and makes a song referencing George Orwell’s communist-themed novel Animal Farm. Only Lupe..

The song is absolutely FILLED with double entendres, metaphors, and animal-themed, politically-charged imagery. The type of song that Rap Genius was made for.

Instead of a 10-15 page final paper, Frak’s teacher allowed him to record a rap song. The class was called “hip-hop & incarceration” and involved a program teaching kids poetry in juvenile hall.

Duck Down is a record label, started in 1995 by Buckshot (the rapper in Black Moon), which has been home to artists such as 9th Wonder, Pharoahe Monch, & Sean Price.

At the time when Em was popping off, in the mid 90’s, the two main record labels that supported lyrical content were Rawkus and Duck Down (Rawkus was the label that brought Talib Kweli and Mos to the record stores). Eminem was never offered any deals by Rawkus or Loud Records (which housed such big names like Wu-Tang Clan), and it is funny seeing him diss an underground label at the place he is in his career (statistically, the biggest rapper of all time).

Hopsin is saying he is the man, using fecal wordplay.
He’s ironically knocking Wayne on this song when this line sounds straight out of Wayne’s IANAHBII book of rhymes.
