CULTURAL APPROPRIATION OMG

This song is split into 2 parts, the night and the morning after. Part 1 covers a typical weekend night at liberal arts college.
Rather than a personal experience, this is more of a personification/dramatization of what liberal arts college is like, where kids are so hyper-aware and educated to all the social constructs that surround them, but simultaneously exist WITHIN those social constructs when night time strikes.

This part covers the sub-section of the class which involved going to juvenile hall and working with the kids there. The kids were 13-17 years old. Working with them, writing poetry and raps, was one of the most inspiring things Ive done.

This part covers the majority of the content about incarceration we learned in class. Some of the authors we read include Michelle Alexander, Ruthie Gilmore, Paul Butler, and Angela Davis.
