There have been a number of stories detailing how the U.S. government’s Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has supplied crack cocaine to drug dealers such as L.A.’s “Freeway” Ricky Ross to distribute in urban areas. This led to a crack epidemic in the 1980s, destroying communities and families within the inner city. Big Boi then mentions how people claim this is just a “conspiracy theory” to suggest the U.S. government wouldn’t do something like that to its own citizens but Big Boi isn’t buying that counterargument.

The powers that be don’t have to use direct or brute force against a populace anymore, because they have more effective means for controlling people; the media.

Ritalin (methylphenidate) is a central nervous system stimulant. It affects chemicals in the brain and nerves that contribute to hyperactivity and impulse control. In other words, it dumbs you down to a state of complacency.

It can be argued that TV does this with it’s programs, commercials and overall propaganda techniques to get people to think in alignment with the establishment and it’s goals and desires rather than one’s own. This is described better in this video:

Distracted by “reality” shows, award shows, talent shows, sports events, “news” reports, etc, we forget how significant social injustice is, how atrocious and harmful it is and how frequently it occurs. It makes us apathetic and complacent just like Ritalin does.

Major labels weren’t really interested in southern artists for a long time. They didn’t think they could make any money and therefore didn’t take the south seriously. Instead, Koopa feels like they just patronized them or were disingenuous in their promises.

This is sampled from a song by The Alan Parsons Project of the same name. While what The Alan Parsons Project meaning of the song and hook is, is debatable (see comments in link), it is pretty clear what context it is being used in, here; a surveillance/police state.

The ‘eye in the sky’ is a reference to satellite surveillance, drones (unmanned aircraft equipped with similar if not better capabilities for spying and prying into the general public’s lives) and surveillance in general in, so thickly layered in today’s society.

He could also be talking about the Illuminati’s use of the all-seeing eye.

Or how about Michael Larsen? I think we should all state in the beginning an acknowledgement of opinion and possiblity of what anyone means, from the attitude of one who isn’t asserting their dimly lit self believed truths to everyone as fact potentially and most likely making others believe it and spread it like wildfire. Objectivity, listen to him speak, sing, rap, feel it, connect with it, become the creator of it, why did he create it, this is why, now you can spread illumination on the subject, free from ignorant puppet.
