Many people don’t realize that the people they have in their corners (friends, family, coworkers, etc.) have value, too. If you can call on someone for a ride to work, for a small loan, someone to talk to, or whatever it is that would help you, then you have resources.

A positive attitude can also go a long way in helping you get by, such as realizing (and accepting) the things mentioned above.

An exaggeration of the idiom, “I’m on cloud nine,” which means feeling good, excited or euphoric. Being that it references clouds, it is often used metaphorically to describe being high on weed, but can also mean being high on other drugs.

Drug addicts don’t seem to get much help from God’s people. The preacher walks by the same people he vows to help, but acts like he doesn’t see them being in need, ie asking for change.
