The Illuminati are a fictional world-control group popularized by author Dan Brown. References frequent rap, including Yelawolf’s “2.0 Boysverse:

And that’s as close as I get to a pyramid
Shit, they think I’m Illuminati, so fucking ignorant

The source of Mark’s disinterest in sex may trace back to his attention deficit disorder. This controversial disorder makes the person unable to pay attention to the what they should be doing. Interestingly, the mass media presence of ADD was much less in 1999, making Mark one of the first to really embrace it in music and culture.

“Buddy” is the fourth single off of De La Soul’s debut album 3 Feet High and Rising, reaching #2 on the US Rap Chart in early 1990. The song features the Jungle Brothers and Q-Tip, both fellow members of the Native Tongues collective.

According to Pitchfork, “Buddy” wasn’t a ‘pal’ or ‘friend’:

Their album would be full of inside jokes [and] invented slang (“A phrase called talk” was their rhyme style, “Public Speaker” was a dope emcee, “Buddy” was a hot body, and “Strictly Dan Stuckie” meant “awesome”).
