Having already spent last season with Hamburg on loan Lasogga was one of the few bright spots last season. He scored 13 goals in 20 matches and always played with the will most other Hamburg players lacked.
His signing was also one investor Kühne made possible by helping out with some money as Lasogga was one of the players he really appreciated and wanted to stay on the team.

Following Javi Martinez' knee-inquiry Bayern completed the signing of Mehdi Benatia from AS Roma. Earlier in the season there were already rumors floating around. After they had cooled off it seems like when things actually got hot. Bayern somehow needed the defender tho as Guardiola is trying to implement a three-man defensive row.
