Wenn ihm Alkohol beim Verdrängen von ihr nichts bringt, dann macht er sich auf dem Weg in die Vorstadt, möglicherweise auf einen Straßenstrich, aber er will nicht erkannt werden, deswegen ohne Licht (Hat er Angst, dass seine Angebete auch dort steht?) und dort sucht er eine Prostituierte, die ihm gibt, was ihm seine Angebetete nicht gibt: Sex. Oder er guckt sich um, ob seine Angebtet, sollte sie wirklich eine Prostituierte sein, dort steht.

Gerade wegen des Beuchs des Straßenstrichs könnte die Angebetete auch keine Prostituierte sein, da das lyrische Ich seine Triebe nicht bei ersterer befriedigen kann, aber dennoch nach einem Ventil dafür sucht, wofür sich eine Prostituierte nun mal primär anbietet.
Darüber hinaus ist Fahren ohne Licht suizidales Verhalten und lässt sich mit dem konsumierten Alkohol erklären, der das lyrische Ich tiefer in Trauer zieht und die “Depri-Stimmung” steigert.

Die Line bezieht sich eher darauf, dass er versucht im Alkohol die Antwort auf seine Fragen zu finden. Hilft dieser ihm nicht dabei findet er sich orientierungslos wieder und fährt bildlich wie eine Auto ohne Licht.

“Durch die Vorstadt, auf der Suche nach dem, was du nicht bist”, könnte eine Anspielung darauf sein, dass er in seiner Orientierungslosigkeit auf der Suche nach irgend einem anderen Mädchen ist. Er möchte sich bewusst ablenken. Denn somit betracht er damit einen möglichen one-night-stand nur als eine Vorstadt durch die er durch muss, um letzten Endes zu seiner Angebeteten, der (Haupt-)Stadt zu kommen.

Möglich ist auch, das er aufgrund Suizidgedanken ohne Licht fährt, da er Nähe (dann zu einem anderen Fahrzeug (->Unfall)) sucht, die sie nicht leisten kann.

Ich denke, dass es sogar weiter geht und schon kleine Selbstmord Absichten in ihm aufkommen. Es spielt ein Fahrzeug eine Rolle ähnlich wie er in Fluch der Besten meint

Ich fahr auf der Autobahn,
seh den Schnee toben
Schließ die Augen,
drück das Pedal runter bis auf den Boden
Nehm' die Hände vom Lenkrad

Fährt er auch hier wieder Irrational umher. Betrunken und unbeleuchtet fährt er durch die Stadt. Er versucht nicht aktiv sich das Leben zu nehmen, aber riskiert, dass es passiert, vielleicht um das Schicksal herauszufordern. Entweder findet er sie dort oder er geht drauf.

Ich glaube nicht an die Prostituierten-These, die gibt meiner Meinung nach im Gesamtkontext des Liedes nur wenig Sinn.
Daher würde ich eher sagen, dass diese Zeilen die Ruhelosigkeit des lyrsichen Ichs ausdrücken. Selbst unter dem Einfluss von Alkohol kommt es nachts nicht mehr zur Ruhe, weil seine Beziehung es so aufwühlt. So zeigt es schließlich sogar irrationale Verhaltensweisen wie das rastlose Autofahren ohne Licht.
Es könnte auch eine Metapher dafür sein, dass das lyrische ich nicht sieht und daher nicht weiß, wo es hin möchte. (Ohne Licht sieht man in der Dunkelheit eher wenig.)

Ich denke eher das ihm applaudiert wird, da er immer eine “Maske” (so wie clowns eine tragen) trägt, und niemand sein “wahres” ich sieht.
d.h. dass es ihm eigentlich schlecht geht.

Er glaubt, dass der richtige Weg ist, dieser Frau nachzulaufen, aber die Kompassnadel, die für den Weg nach Norden bzw. für gute Navigation steht, dreht weg und “spricht” sich auch gegen ihre Beziehung aus, wie schon die Eltern und Freunde zuvor.

Das im März 2013 erscheinende, neue Album von Prinz Pi wird den Titel Kompass ohne Norden tragen und steht laut eigener Aussage für die Orientierungslosigkeit von Pi selbst, aber auch so ziemlich unserer ganzen jugendlichen Generation.

Die Kompassnadel kann auch als Penis verstanden werden (siehe ‘Etc.’: ‘die Nadel ist mein –’), der ihn von seiner Liebe wegzieht bzw. dem richtigen Weg weg in Richtung anderer Frauen leitet

Er kann seine Sonnenbrille nicht abnehmen, muss sich hinter ihr verstecken.

Vielleicht hat er auch vom Saufen, rote und unterlaufene Augen und trägt deswegen eine Sonnenbrille. Oder hat er ein blaues Auge?

Damit kann ebenfalls gemeint sein, dass er sich mit seiner Sonnenbrille verschließt. Es gibt das Sprichwort “Augen sind der Spiegel zur Seele” und durch die meisten Sonnenbrillen kann man die Augen des Trägers nicht erkennen, also auch nicht in seine Seele/sein Herz schauen und erkennen, was er wirklich fühlt.

Es dreht sich um’s Alkohol trinken, meist tut man dies nur um zu vergessen oder Spaß zu haben, aber man kann auch erkennen. Wenn man genug getrunken(‘getaucht’) hat und total neben sich steht oder sich am übergeben ist, dann kümmern sich nur wahre Freunde bzw. Leute die einen lieben um einen.

Es bezieht sich auch darauf, dass man, wenn man betrunken ist, Dinge sagt, die man im nüchternen Zustand vielleicht niemals preisgeben würde. Zum Beispiel redet man unbewusst davon, dass man eine Person liebt, obwohl man sich das vorher niemals eingestanden hat.
