Whoever knows pain becomes criticized
from the fire that burned up the skin
I throw a light
in my face
A hot cry
Fire at will!

This about unleashing anger. The most common metaphor for anger is fire, which is the closest description we can come up with when we’re angry. Till ties unleashing anger (fire) with setting yourself on fire, not in a painful kind of way but more to express potential destructive power, hence “Feuer frei” translated as the military command “fire at will.”

Rammstein used mouth flamethrowers during their last representation of this song

Whoever knows pain is dangerous
from the fire that burns the soul
Bang bang
The burned child is dangerous
with fire that separates from the life
A hot cry
Bang bang
Fire at will!

Depicts one’s life destroyed by unfair events, which leads him to feel constant anger towards life in general or a demographic. “Burned child” refers to him being maked for life by the previous (hence the use of the word child) events; this individual got nothing to lose and is more inclined to create killing spree in which he will fire at will.
