With a rusted Glock, Shut 'Em Down Remix by Onyx (Ft. Big Punisher & N.O.R.E.)

Great choice of words to represent a 9mm that busted a lot of shots.

That's why they really wanna, focus on Iraq crime
So what what, fuck you, nigga yo we taking shine
Shut 'Em Down Remix by Onyx (Ft. Big Punisher & N.O.R.E.)

N.O.R.E prolly had some problems with the cops before writing this whole verse. Regardless of the cops focusing on his hometown, Noreaga still under the sun stacking money.

[Verse 5: Sticky Fingaz] Shut 'Em Down Remix by Onyx (Ft. Big Punisher & N.O.R.E.)

If you’re an Onyx fan you probably figured that Stick is 95% of the time performing the last verse of the songs, giving it a harder ending.

We got a perfect example here.

That your parachute is a latex condom hooked to a dread Control by Big Sean (Ft. Jay Electronica & Kendrick Lamar) 2

The latex condom mention only means that if you’ve taken it that far (much like how far one would take intimacy and need a condom), then jumping out (pulling out) for safety won’t be an option anyway. No parachute. In the extended metaphor Kendrick is saying its almost impossible to get over the bar he sets both literally and metaphorically.

Notice also the wordplay around “cockpit” and “head,” tying into the mention of the condom as you wrap your condom around your cock’s head in the event that you can’t pull out.

Would you say my intelligence now is great relief?
And it's safe to say that our next generation maybe can sleep
With dreams of being a lawyer or doctor,
M.A.A.d City by Kendrick Lamar (Ft. MC Eiht) 4

Even if Kendrick killed a person when he was young, would the fact that he is clearly an intelligent person now make you more optimistic?

If so, then Kendrick was the human sacrifice that breaks the cycle of violence, educates the next generation, and enables them to dream of improving their situation by legal means — becoming a lawyer or doctor — instead of selling drugs or violence. Can the good kid cure the m.A.A.d city?

Did the rose in fact grow from the concrete?

Have you ever felt like, like you never get life
Like you never did right? Sort of like a black sheep
Barbed Wire by Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick sometimes doubts his purpose in life and his place in the world. He uses the simile of a black sheep who feels estranged in a world surrounded by whites sheeps. This line is repeated from this first verse.

10. Supreme Mastermind Tracklist by Rick Ross

Scott Storch is finally back in the prod game this year after his cocaine & luxury habits forced him to go bankrupt.

He was one, if not, the most influencial producer in the mids ‘00s with hits like Candy Shop, Make it Rain or Lean Back. He was also a great part of why Dr. Dre’s 2001 was such a huge success; The multiple, omnipresent piano riffs aren’t sampled but played by Scott himself:

At the time, I saw Dr. Dre desperately needed something. He needed a fuel injection, and Dre utilized me as the nitrous oxide. He threw me into the mix, and I sort of tapped on a new flavor with my whole piano sound and the strings and orchestration. So I’d be on the keyboards, and Mike [Elizondo] was on the bass guitar, and Dre was on the drum machine.

Let’s hope he can still deliver A-1 beats & let’s pray he can keep his Bugatti this time.
