Instead of considering himself an MC, he claims he’s only apart of this to meet his idols.

Hip Hop has never been the same since ‘88

Many artists consider the last true essence of hip-hop was in 1988. Back then, the elements of hip-hop in which DJ Afrika Bambaataa outlined for hip hop culture was: MCing, DJing, B-boying and Graffiti writing.

Many of these great MC’s include: Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, Kool G Rap, Rakim, KRS-One, Kool Keith, etc.. etc..

  • Edan, for example, affiliate those artists as the unofficial Furious Five of early hip-hop. (Excluding Kool Keith)

Simple hip-hop mainly consists of dance songs. Such as Crank That, How To Dougie.

Where as, Abstract hip-hop deals with ideas that aren’t really associated with your common ideals. Such as Aesop Rock.

Generation Y, “our” generation changed the standard of music that’s being broadcasted on the radio. The brainless nuisance Charles is describing would be “dance and/or party” music. (as said in above lines about listening to Plies)

The examples Charles listed (as if he were to intentionally diss someone) are referring to people that actually invigorated knowledge in their music and were innovators during their prime. Their music was embraced and broadcasted everywhere when they were popular and accepted in mainstream media.

Today’s music hasn’t really changed, (for the better) in terms of preserving the culture. That’s the main point being thrown out.

Finesse and KRS-One are Golden-era rappers. Their terms of ill deal with lyricism.

  • Finesse is a punchline rapper. Meaning, sentences which is intended to be funny or to provoke laughter or thought from listeners. Many of his peers would consider him the “master” punch-line rapper.

  • KRS-One is a very conscious rapper. He’s the epitome of hip-hop in every sense. If he notices rapper’s that don’t come correct, he’ll let them know. In 1993, KRS-One and his crew rushed on stage on threw P.M. Dawn off.

In these terms, they’re not down with the MC Hammer’s, Vanilla Ice’s etc.. etc..

There’s been a lot of conspiracies as to who killed Notorious B.I.G. Saigon, and in his multiple-question concept has four questions being posed.

  • Puffy put a hit on Tupac and he owed the Southside Crips money for doing the hit.

  • During this time, Tupac and Biggie were beefing. Accusing a John Lennon type-fan of killing Biggie. (To my knowledge, Biggie didn’t even have beef with Tupac. Some speculate there were “subliminal” shots towards him.)

  • The government wanted to silence Pac for his ideas and trying to empower the black community and/or the theory of killuminati.

  • We’ll Be Missing You is a song by P. Diddy AKA Puff Daddy. The last opinion by Saigon.

Linebackers are the portrait of toughness and grit, Big Pun sacks any wack-rapper that tries to cross the line into his zone.

Big Pun is describing a method called Backmasking. When backmasking first came in the popular eye, many artists were being accused. Electric Light Orchestra was accused of hiding a backward Satanic message, and Styx was accused of putting the backward message “Satan move through our voices”

Israel is singing about three Hawaiian natives that went on to make history as being sumo wrestlers in Japan:

  • Akebono Tarō – Born in Waimānalo, Akebono made history by becoming the first non-Japanese-born wrestler ever to reach yokozuna, the highest rank in sumo.

  • Musashimaru Kōyō – Born in Samoa, and moved to Hawaii later in life, became the second foreign-born wrestler in history to reach the rank of yokozuna.

  • Konishiki Yasokichi – Born in Honolulu, was the first non-Japanese-born wrestler to reach ōzeki, the second highest rank in the sport.

Waimanalo, Nanakuli, and Waianae are cities in Hawaii.

These lyrics are also sampled on Soichi Terada’s album Sumo Jungle released in 1996.
