The cause of a Delirium is somatic, meaning it happens after a physical injury (for example: a urinary tract infection. The doctors might not even know about this infection yet). It can also happen after surgery.

It could happen to all of us, but it mostly happens to elderly.
It can look a little like dementia.
Though, a big difference between dementia and a delirium is that the latter is perfectly curable.

So, don’t go put grandma in a elderly home yet, she might just have a delirium.
Don’t get scared when he/she doesn’t remember you.

People with a delirium often have amnesia, delusions and hallucinations.
They might see bugs everywhere, eventhough they’re not really there. Or they might not understand they’re in a hospital.
They can be violent and scared, or they can just sleep a lot, in this case a delirium might not even be noticed at all.

A Delirium can also happen after a drug withdrawal.

A delirium usually stops when the patient’s physical injury gets cured.

Capgras Syndrome or Capgras Delusion is a form of Agnosia.
People who suffer from it, have the delusion that friends, family members or other known people aren’t real.
The patient believes they’ve been replaced by doppelgangers or a look-alike.

Sometimes the patient sees himself as a doppelganger (too).

Alex and Donna Voutsinas are a married couple.
A week before they got married (2010), they decided to look through some old pictures of them.

Here’s Donna with her brothers (?) at Disney World in 1980:

That’s when Alex realized, he saw his dad in the background, pushing a stroller.
And who was in the stroller?
Why ofcourse…Alex!

The couple obviously never met, Alex couldn’t even talk.
They didn’t even live in the same country.
But they still happen to cross eachother at Disney World.

Thank you, Disney World!

Oh Schone!

He already scored a free kick earlier in the game, and this could’ve been the 2-1, but via the goalkeeper Sirigu and the post, the ball goes wide.

Two good double saves by Leeuwenburgh.

First Double Save

While Ajax is up 3-2, Leeuwenburgh makes another amazing double save, meaning the equalizer never came and the score ended in a 4-2 win.

Don’t ask me how he kept that out.

Menig speeds passed his defender, gets the ball back from Kishna and fires a great shot that hit the bar.
The ball bounces off to Acolatse, who has another shot, but it hits the aluminum for the 2nd time.
Luckily for him, the third time’s a charm.
Just like Hendriks and Bakker, Acolatse scores his first goal for Jong Ajax.
