Finally he’s here.

The Croatian winger is known as a big talent, and even Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid tried to sign him.

When Muric told his old club Dinamo Zagreb he wanted to leave, he was put back to their 2nd team, and Muric eventually stopped showing up on training sessions.

According to Ajax Muric’s contract was ending, but according to Dinamo Zagreb he still had a 1 year contract.
It went on like this for a while, but he’s finally ours and we didn’t have to pay a fee.

Do we feel bad for Dinamo Zagreb?
No..
Get fucked.

One of the youngest Ajax players (only Riechedly Bazoer and Jairo Riedewald are younger), Richairo Zivkovic.

(He took his mom’s name, who is Serbian.
His father is from Curaçao.
Zivkovic himself is born in the Netherlands.)

Zivkovic is one of Ajax’s new signings this season.

While 16 years and 3 months old (!!!), he was FC Groningen’s youngest debutant and a few months later he became their youngest goal scorer too (younger than Robben was, who also played for FC Groningen.)
During season 2013/14 Zivkovic scored a total of 10 goals, while he was still too young to drive a car alone.

The Dutch striker was born in September 5th, 1996.
You know what that means? He’s younger than me, and I annotate lyrics in my spare time.

Coach Frank de Boer already said that Zivkovic will mostly be playing in Ajax u21 (here called ‘Jong Ajax’) this season, but this is still a player to look out for in the future.

Also, for the Game geniuses: Get him in fifa 2014, football manager 14 etc.

Anwar El-Ghazi, I can’t wait to see this kid play.

The 19 year old of Moroccan descent only got called up yesterday (24-7-2014), when Lesley de Sa got loaned out to Go Ahead Eagles.

In the friendly games Ajax has played so far, El-Ghazi did really well, and already scored 8 goals.
Let’s not forget that Anwar was a subtitute in most of these games.
He has only played a total of 150 minutes!

The old Sparta Rotterdam player is often compared to Di Maria or Cristiano Ronaldo, but is still waiting for his official debute.
It can’t be far away now.

On the website Ajaxshowtime.com, fans were asked to vote on the player their looking forward to the most.
Anwar El-Ghazi took the lead with 30%, followed by another talent Ricardo Kishna (25%) and new signing Arek Milik (17%)

Who on earth expected this to happen?

Most of the dutchmen were still hungover, because of the lost final in 2010 against Spain.

2 years later, during the Euro cup in 2012, the Netherlands didn’t even make it through to the knockout stages, while Spain won their third European title.

When the Dutch saw they had to face Spain again in the group stages, most of us started sobbing in the corner (That is, if we weren’t still in that same corner since 2010.)
Because of our weak performances in the previous friendly games, and the bad performance in the last European championship, even the ‘smaller’ teams Costa Rica and Australia seemed impossible to beat.

With a box of tissues on our laps, almost 50% of the Dutch population started watching the game.
And in the 27th minute, the undeniable happpened, Spain scored (from a penalty).

In the 42nd minute, David Silva should’ve scored the 2-0, but instead, Jasper Cillessen saved the chip with an incredible reflex.

And what do you know, 2 minutes later, Van Persie scores a peach of a goal after an incredible pass by Blind.

The Netherlands couldn’t have chosen a better time to score the equaliser.
Could we perhaps receive some points after this game?

The Netherlands looked fresh at the start of the 2nd half, in fact, it was Robben who scored the 2-1

Okay, now we need to focus.
Maybe we should bring on some more defenders?
Just play 7-2-1, and maybe we can…OH SHIT Van Persie just hit the bar..
Oh yes, the Netherlands smelled blood, and they wanted revenge.

Shortly after, De Vrij scores the 3-1 after a free kick by Sneijder.
In the 72nd minute it seemed all over for Spain, when Van Persie scores his 2nd of the game, after a terrible mistake by Casillas.

In the 80th minute Robben took on multiple Spanish players and even scored the 5-1.

Even the almighty Thom couldn’t have predicted this

All of our tissues were filled, but not with tears this time (guys….get it? guys….).
The Netherlands finally get revenge on Spain, and as usual, now everybody believes we’ll be world champions too.

Can the Netherlands finally make up for all ..the.. traumas and become world champions for the first time?
