Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is a very famous first-person shooter.

Teddy bear easter eggs can be found in a lot of Call of Duty games including CoD 2, MW2, MW3, Black Ops etc.
You can usually just see them laying around; they might even give you health.
Or maybe you’ve seen the teddy bear sitting on top of the so-called ‘mystery box’ (as seen in Black Ops 2).

For some reason, it’s always covered in blood.
I bet a lot of people have been killed in front of that poor bear.

But have you ever had a close look at that bear?
Probably not, what weirdo stares at a teddy bear in a shooter game?

Half Life 2, a first person shooter from 2004.

There are zombies in the game.

Damn, that’s scary
Alright, next!

No, hold on, that’s not it.

The zombies make weird sounds, but they’re sounds a normal zombie would make, I guess.
But when you reverse those screams, you hear something strange (start at 0:20).

They almost sound like human screams.

It sounds like the zombie screams you hear in Half Life 2 are the ones that are actually reversed.
They could’ve just recorded a normal scream and give that to the zombies, why would they go through all of this?

Ah… another Japanese game.
It’s about a girl who travels through her dreams.

At one point you apparently come across this tepee looking thing.
You can go inside where you will see a blonde girl just standing there, but blonde girls aren’t scary, so you’re still okay.

So now you can shut off the lights.
Most of the time, she just stays there in the dark, and you can leave again.
But if you do this multiple times in a row (could also be at random) at one point you will come across Uboa. Who’s tired of you switching off those lights.

please turn on your sound, it’s not a jumpscare
Just listen to who peaceful the music is at first, and how it changes when Uboa pops up.
That alone should give you nightmares.

Fatal Frame is a survival horror series.
People who have played it, know how scary the games are.
So think about it, why would you ever be idle in a game like this, without pausing the game?
Probably because you’ve just been scared shitless.
You just need a couple of seconds to catch your breath.

But the problem is, this game hates you.
You’re not even safe while standing still.

Nobody is certain as to who the girl really is.
She kinda reminds me of Kuchisake-Onna, from a Japanese urban legend (Fatal Frame is also Japanese).

Black & White is a 2001 game.
When a villager dies, you’ll hear a creepy voice saying ‘deeeeath’.

This is already quite creepy (imagine playing this at night with headphones).
But it gets worse.
Every once in a while, it won’t say ‘death’.

While setting up your profile, the game picks up your name. It can whisper your name!

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a platforming game released in 2010.
In the level Shiverburn Galaxy you can see a couple of weird shadowy figures standing on top a mountain.
People have been calling these things ‘Hellvalleyskytrees’, but it’s never mentioned in the game.

To make it even worse:
People have tried to get to the figures by hacking the game (making Mario fly) but never succeeded.
The hack worked fine.
The only problem is, the figures disappear when you get too close.
