Gourd is slang for head. Eminem says that you need to take some “tools” because he has a “ford engine” inside him and he is unstoppable.

Inventory means, to make a complete list of items; notice how everything mentioned is as random as the other, which essentially emphasizes how he still remains brainless.

The idea of this removes the humanity away from Eminem; in fact the items mentioned are more so mechanically related which implies a more robotic nature. Eminem also reveals he raps like a robot in Rap God

Lastly, the multisyllable rhyming of these lines is also worthy to credit!

A simile which implies he has made a huge impact upon his emergence in the rap game; many would agree Eminem is of legendary status, so it’s doubly true when he makes his comeback.

Em “hit the earth like an asteroid” in Lil Wayne’s “Drop The World” video.

This line is similar to a track on Nas‘ legendary album Illmatic, “It Ain’t Hard To Tell”:

Hit the Earth like a comet – invasion!

Nas is like the Afrocentric Asian
Half-man, half-amazin'

To be considered ‘washed up’ denotes a sense of irrelevance and insignificance; Eminem transforms this phrase by adding his own clever twist to it; the critics basically claimed he is washed up so, he proved them wrong by taking a blood bath, thereof he’s no longer ‘washed’ since blood isn’t a pure liquid to cleanse oneself with ! He adjusted and adapted to the flaws they labeled him with.

The wordplay on blood bath can be also referencing the horrorcore content on Relapse, where several celebrities were slaughtered in Slim’s dark anecdotes.

Eminem is comparing his energy to car fuel. So he’s saying that he will siphon which means get more energy or fuel from another source. He is thus wanting more energy to survive this contemporary “climate” a.k.a. the rap game and stay relevant.
Again with the evolution theme he skillfully plays in this song.

Only got a gallon in the gas tank
But I’m almost at the finish line
So I can’t stop now

Eminem annexes a piece of wordplay to climate, he pronounces it so it sounds like climb it – effectively setting the allusion of conquering any obstacle in his field of vision.
The line can be seen as man will I survive in this? climb it or what? delivering the sense that there is only one option, which is to survive and overcome/climb it.

To fill up this last can(of whoop-ass)

Both “I lost it” and “out of my mind” evokes a sense of craziness and deviation from normality. Kendrick also plays with the idea that, since his brain is lost, it’s out of his head/mind.

A reference to Jack The Ripper, an unidentified serial killer from the 19th century who targeted female prostitutes. Presumably Eminem only dates prostitutes.

His victim reveals emotions of fear and nervousness; instead of comforting her, Slim implies in a nonchalant way, there is still more horrible encounters to experience – effectively reinforcing this unrelenting psycho demeanor of his.

Slim places more emphasis upon the suggestive cruel and barbarous treatment yet to come, by enlightening his victim, that he still has unfinished business with his last set of victims, despite them being buried already.

Just like Norman Bates, Slim Shady is a psychotic murderer; concealing weaponry is a crucial element to his nature. Notice the wordplay, because he is a serial killer, it only seems appropriate to place his tools in a cereal box!

With concern to these murder materials being placed on top of your stereo, this could be alluding to Shady’s violent music topping the charts and being ubiquitously played.

Another way this line can be understood, is that Eminem’s music is filled with violence and murders, yet he gets away with it. So the perfect place to hide his murder material is in his music.

Eminem admits that he is far from perfect. He raps about rape and violence, and has a long list of legal troubles. But despite all that, he has never been affiliated with a gang or participated in gun violence. So in a genre that is becoming more and more influenced by the gang-banging lifestyle, Eminem claims that his music is actually becoming the lesser of two evils. Normally the mind of a sinner would be thought of as a dark and dangerous place, but compared to the mind of a murderer it’s preferable.

Similar idea to the phrase “in the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king”. In other words, having one eye isn’t ideal, but when surrounded by a bunch of blind people you are going to be thankful for what you have.

Eminem seems to be describing one particular kid from one particular situation, but this one kid is really a symbol for a lot of his fanbase – mistreated adolescents fed up with the way life is going.

This kid chooses to lock himself in his room and listen to rap all day instead of spending time with his family. The parents assume he is just being corrupted by artists like Eminem, when in reality this is caused by the way he was brought up. He has been pressured his entire life to become what his parents view as “the perfect son”, which in reality just screws him up even more. So now he takes solace in listening to rebellious music and hoping for better days.
