A bastard is someone born of unmarried parents; an illegitimate child. The term is generally used as an insult to both the child and the mother, who is considered sexually promiscuous because she does not know who fathered her child. Historically, bastards were treated very poorly by society and were looked down upon. They were assumed to be trouble makers who had no future, were poor, and often involved in crime.

Here, the poem America’s birth as illegitimate; separated from mother Britain through revolution and unnatural means.

it is impossible to have a child without both a mother and a father, which begs the question as to who the father might be. Considering the racial themes of the poem, one could say that the father of America is the African slave. The white man and those coming from Africa were never married, making America an illegitimate “bastard”.

He does things to the brains after killing a person – like mixing them, as if they were a pasta. Some sort of bad/gross event caused Hung to start doing these things.

Apparently Hung had a chance to sign with Shady Records, which is known as one of the foremost labels in the rap industry. Founded by Eminem, it is easy to see why Brotha wanted in.

Whatever the case, Hung is now with Strange Music , Tech N9ne’s hip hop label. The label’s logo is an “s” shaped snake superimposed on a bat.

Hung pimps Strange Music as the best independent label in rap, just after saying he wishes he had signed with Shady. Gotta wonder how Tech felt about that line.

“Brap” is a term used when you’re listening to a “heavy” song. It’s also used to imitate the sound of repeated gunfire.

He is also saying hes a Shady person, but hes far more strange

“Bust” has few different meanings. In this situation, Brotha probably means three of them:

  • Bust as in to rap ie “bust a rhyme”
  • Bust as in to shoot a gun ie “bust a cap in his ass”
  • Bust as in to orgasm ie “I busted a nut in her face”

He is dissing other rappers by saying that they rap like homosexuals. I have never heard a homosexual rap, so I personally would not know.

Considering this song is about killing people and what not, Brotha also disses other rappers by saying that they shoot their guns like a homosexual would. I also do not believe I have seen a homosexual shoot a gun, so I am not sure how poorly they would handle a weapon.

And finally, Hung puts out a diss to rappers by saying that they are actually homosexuals because they orgasm with other homosexuals.

“Adam and Ed” ties the line all together. Any Christian should know that Adam and Eve were the first two people on earth. Christians who think they are funny often say something along the lines of “Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve” to preach about how homosexuality is wrong and yadda yadda. Hung uses “Adam and Ed” simply because the rhyme was more convenient for him.

By the way, with this photo evidence, we can see that Adam was in fact black.

“Rocking” could mean a few things here

  • He tells Biggie to keep doing his thing, not minding police
  • Telling his fans to keep rocking his music
  • Referencing his record label, Roc-A-Fella Records
  • Keep crack rocking (converting coke into crack, or just distributing crack)

Jay Z is part-owner of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, so like any involved person on a situation, he watches over it and pays close attention to all the ins and outs of the club. Similarly, due to Skepta’s growing notability, he feels people are paying closer attention to what he does, musically and otherwise.
