XO is the Weeknd’s logo, and is part of his slogan “XO ‘til we overdose”. Despite what some may think, it does not stand for hugs and kisses like the original acronym.

  • X stands for the drug ecstasy.

  • O stands for the drug oxycodone.

The Weeknd has never been shy about referencing drug use in his music, and the XO logo is a perfect embodiment of that. The slogan “XO ‘til we overdose” is a double meaning.

  1. Literally doing copious amounts of both these drugs until you overdose.

  2. Listening to tons of The Weeknd’s music until the listener figuratively overdoses from the music.

Kendrick is making enough money to go to a car dealership and drive off the lot with any car. He tells the car salesman to hand him the keys, just like a pianist would have his hands on the keys of a piano.

This might also refer to drugs. Kendrick hits the dealership (drug dealer) and tells them to hand over the keys (more properly, “ki"s, or kilograms – usually, cocaine).
