The puzzle modes included in this game were obviously an afterthought. The game would have been better off sticking to it core.

All of the weapon choices in this game had been done before in previous games

The game isnt horrible. It is actually better than its predecessors. The game just didnt hold up to its modern counterparts.

After 15 years, this game should have been Hard as a Motherfucker. Instead it chugs along as if it is running on hardware not suitable to play a modern game. It plays as if the designers were trying to make the game fit into the mold it fit into 15 years ago.

Duke Nukem uses 2 guns. Master Chief uses two guns on occasion. The Gary Shandling Show theme song repeats “This is the Gary Shandling Show” over and over again. Duke repeats the same mechanics as most other first person shooters of that time.

During the course of the game, Duke takes a shot at the Master Chief from Halo for using power armor. Duke himself uses a shield much like that of the Master Chief. It is ironic that the subject of ridicule is exactly what Duke designers decide to impart upon him. Duke Nukem games never previously incorporated a power shield as the primary form of protection.

Duke looks like a mix between Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Swarzenegger

Duke Nukem the character is full of bravodo and machismo but he really just comes up short in this game. So does the game. Its very much written for a child.

Duke Nukem Forever was in development for approximately 15 years. I wanted to like it and give it respect because the previous game was really good. Ultimately Duke Nukem Forever was not as good as it should have been. The bravado Duke displays is completely unfounded
