The game has an M rating because of language and violence.

THe PS3 version of the game, the version Jerome played on, was very smooth. The 360 version was known to have some chop.

THe graphics for this game are exceptional.

Alcatraz must kill or be killed. A play on words, The prison called Alcatraz was known for being inescapable. Alcatraz the nanosuited-up Marine is also inescapable as he will kill anyone he faces. Man or alien.

The nanosuit supports multiple modes that can easily be used simultaneously whenever the user wishes. This is decidedly different than the first game, in which the suit was generally limited to a single mode at a time and multiple modes cannot be used simultaneously for more than a split-second. The first suit’s Strength and Speed Modes have been combined into the new Power Mode, the Cloaking Device has been modified to allow increased sensory input and silent melee stealth kills and has been renamed to Stealth Mode, while the Armor Mode has been left more or less as is, with the exception of slightly restricted agility and an ever-decreasing energy level.

Crysis 2 implements a visor into the Nanosuit that not only lets you survey the battlefield and tag enemies, it also encourages you to highlight suggested paths and tactics. Your suit will announce that there are tactical options available and bringing up the visor allows you to survey and highlight them. This makes it easier to spot things such as extra ammo and weaponry; a stealthy approach through the sewers, or a handy ledge grab that will have you above your foes in the perfect position to rain lead on them.

Alcatraz is a Force Recon Marine. Force Recon is the special forces of the Marine Corps. Alcatraz is now wearing the nanosuit once worn by Prophet.

Ooh-rah is a spirited cry (a battle cry) common to United States Marines since the mid-20th century. It is comparable to the Hooah cry used in the Army or Hooyah by the Navy. It is most commonly used to respond to a verbal greeting or as an expression of enthusiasm. It is common for Marines to believe they are all that is needed to get the job done.

Prophet is infected by the “Manhattan” virus and has to kill himself in order for the player, “Alcatraz”, to gain control of his nano-suit. Additionally, upon landing in the hotzone, the entire squad of Marines that were flown in to help gets killed by the Ceph.
